This is an original Art work by Audrey Rits.
The subject matter is an artists depiction of a segment of the Rocky Mountains. It is created with acrylic paints on canvas. The acrylic paint helps give the brush strokes a sharp defined edge which gives the painting a very rocky looking texture.
Audrey has this statement to go with the piece:
This painting was inspired by a road trip through the Rockies one spring May Day weekend.
The snow was melting and with the sun reflecting light on the wet mountain side offered a picturesque view of shapes and forms of the mountain's secrets.
You see water trickling down the mountain side freezing near the bottom. You see wet slate showing different formations.
A picturesque sight of the eyes!
