"My artistic passion to create began as a young woman. Having been a crafter for many years broadened by talents and interests and gave me an immense admiration for our world and its surrounding beauty. Having traveled to many countries, my artwork reflects these travels both at home and abroad (European scenes to antiquated villages). Here in Alberta, a homestead house, a grain elevator, where the prairies meet the mountains, a beautifully colored sunrise or sunset are a gift to the eye. I have a passion to contemplate or remember a scene and envision it on paper, canvas, wood or tin. To expand, I enjoy creating the Rocky Mountain landscapes which includes the many Lakes and Rivers of Alberta. The many birds and flowers excite my passion to create. The colors of our changing 4 seasons- indeed- is a wondrous world given to us by the Creator himself!

During the past 6 years I have concentrated in creating my pieces on stretched canvases, watercolor paper and canvas boards using the three mediums of oil, acrylic and watercolor. I have experimented with different and new tools and brushes, all to create new effects which have added textures, color hues and depth. My art is self taught with a few seminars over the past 6 years.

In conclusion, when you gaze at my art work, and it speaks to you, then I have succeeded!"

I was born and Raised in Alberta and have had the opportunity to travel to many countries during my husband's career in the Canadian Armed Forces.

My career was in dentistry and business administration, and while in the workforce, raised two daughters. I have always been a crafter, enjoying paper tole, as well as the art of knitting and crocheting. I was a seamstress for many years which included sewing for family and friends.

I am now retired, a senior and a widow, and have 5 grandchildren all of which are the crown jewels in my life.

About 2018 I picked up a paint brush only to discover I posses a talent to paint. Therefore, my art is self taught and I tend towards realism, impressionism, and abstract. I have a closeness to the wonderful environment around us and in the countries I have visited.
