It is an depiction of water lilies resting with ripples in water. The bright color of the lilies are very varied, but over all do not compete with each other, as even with the cool water tones, the picture is very warm and inviting to look at. The artwork is created with oil paints which makes the colors blend seamlessly. The brush work also shows vivid energy from the artist which gives a sense of movement and texture.
