These is an original pottery piece created by Lyn Anderson
Four small, handmade cat mugs, each with its own personality. Three are taller and darker. two have an caramel tan drip glaze over a deep brown, nearly black body, the glaze running in uneven bands so it pools near the rim and leaves the lower body dark.
The third taller cup it a calico, is mostly black with a tan swirl or patch that contrasts against the dark glaze and on its white chest it has three dark spots. All have tall, slightly angular tail handles and rest on four tiny unglazed feet that lift them off the surface.
Beside them is a shorter, rounder cup glazed a soft, speckled blue-green; it shares the little feet but feels gentler and more whimsical than the darker pieces. The overall impression is of tactile glaze drips, exposed clay at the feet, and hand-formed handles give each cup a distinct, handcrafted charm, much like the cats they are based on!
The pottery is made with stoneware, and is food safe and functional.
