This work is created with Acrylic paints on a Stretched Canvas. Peter has perfected the skill of crisply creating perfect circles in patterns with sharp lines.
A perfectly centered bull’s-eye fills the square canvas: dozens of concentric rings ripple inward from a broad outer band to a small core, like the cross-section of some candy-colored tree. The background is a warm, saturated lemon yellow that makes the inner circles pop; the rings themselves alternate in a pastel palette — soft rose, powder blue, minty aqua, pale lavender and creamy peach — producing a gentle, rhythmic vibration. Each band is crisply edged and evenly spaced, creating a precise optical order that feels both mechanical and soothing. Up close the colors seem to hum against one another, the warm pinks and peaches balanced by the cool blues and greens, while from a distance the whole composition reads as a single luminous orb. The overall effect is meditative and playful at once: like a visual mantra or a retro target that invites you to stare and be pulled toward its calm, bright center.
Its a feast for the eyes, a little sweet dessert for the viewer to enjoy.
