This painting is an artist's depiction of a a field of Castilleja flowers and trees in the mountains. The bright red of the flowers pulls the viewer into the picture, while the mountain and sky's cool tones push away, giving the artwork an amazing depth. It is painted with watercolour on paper, the watercolour gives it a dream like feel while still retaining bright colours.
