Brenda displays her still life in our gallery and she has photographed and worked with her medium in new and interesting ways.
A hush of winter holds the scene. Tall, bare trees stand like dark, laced silhouettes in the foreground, their thin branches dusted with frost, framing a wide sweep of untouched snow that rolls away toward a low stone wall. Beyond the wall the land slopes gently into a misty, blue-gray distance where a few small, shadowy shapes punctuate the horizon. The whole view feels quiet and spare — cold air, soft light, and the delicate sparkle of snow giving the landscape a calm, almost painterly stillness.
