This is a pottery piece created by Elizabeth Schapansky. It is part of the "Mother Earth" series.
A small ceramic pitcher. The vessel is rounded and gently asymmetrical, with a short pouring lip on one side and a looped handle on the other. Its glaze is especially striking: deep brown tones gather around the rim and outer surface, while pale gray and creamy white streaks flow downward inside, creating a natural, almost smoky pattern. The interior appears darker toward the center, giving the impression of depth and a slightly rustic, earthy finish.
The surface has a glossy sheen that catches the light softly, suggesting a kiln-fired ceramic piece rather than a mass-produced object. Its edges are smooth but not perfectly uniform, which adds to the handcrafted feel. Overall, it looks like a small artisanal creamer or sauce pitcher, understated yet elegant in its organic colors and warm, tactile presence.
The work is made with high fire clay and multiple different glazes.
