This is a textile original work created by Nancy Pike.
A small woven wall hanging with a warm, handmade feel. It’s hung from a simple wooden rod with a looped cord, and the fringe at the bottom gives it a soft, tactile finish.
The central design features two owls stitched in bright, earthy colors. One owl is larger and sits prominently in the front, with oversized round green eyes that immediately draw attention. The smaller owl nestles beside it, partly tucked in as if snuggling close. Their bodies are rendered in patchwork-like fabric and embroidery, giving them a textured, slightly folk-art look. The larger owl has a reddish-orange body with a yellow belly and a delicate border of stitched details, while the smaller owl echoes the same palette in a more compact form.
The background of the tapestry is made of horizontal bands in muted browns, tans, and greenish tones, which complement the owls and enhance the rustic, handcrafted character of the piece. Overall, it feels cozy, whimsical, and artisanal — a decorative object that combines craft, color, and a gentle sense of personality.
