Lyn is a University of Manitoba BFA - Honors graduate who started her studies at Red Deer College ( Red Deer Polytechnic). She has been a ceramic artist for 27 years.

Artist Statement

I am enchanted - hypnotised.

In the chase for the eclectic.

For the wanton pursuit of pushing the merely functional to the elaborately embellished.

Each bowl, platter, or other average humdrum dishware fuels an internal growth. 

Like a weed it infests my soul and twists my infatuation for the perfectly altered practical piece of clay. 

Hours simply evaporate as I whittling down my creation.

Strip by strip, I eliminate unwanted miniscule amounts of clay in the aspiration of beautifying the mundane.

It is a struggle, a dependency, a compulsion.

One I believe will consume my existence.
