Tracey McBeth Kachor's Artist Statement:

For many years, my indigenous ancestors lived in dark days, finding it hard to see colour. Society even tried to erase them all together. I use colour, as much colour and richness as I can to bring objects, people, or places to life on canvas, with acrylic paint. Society should find it hard, not to see my bold coloured paintings when entering a room, much like I wish them to see indigenous people in a room today. My work should make you smile and see the bright side of life rather than what might be your reality.
