About Us

 

Andrea first started her journey into the art world at a young age as an artist, she continued establishing her craft throughout her life and had created a multitude of projects such as note cards, logos, paintings and book illustrations. Starting her career in Museums as an Interpreter, attending Memorial University, she  received her Museum Internship program Certificate at the Manitoba Museum of Man & Nature. Has continued to study art, and conservation and has curated both art and historical exhibitions. All of this has given her a unique standpoint of the framing  and art world.  

Andrea opened up Cabinet of Curiosities in Stettler Alberta back in the year of 2004, and has been offering Central Alberta a new approach to framing since. She is past president of the Canadian Professional Picture Framers Association and is a PPFA International Certified Picture Framer, as well as a member of the Fine Arts Trade Guild.

Her two daughters having grown up in the store and apprenticing under Andrea in art and framing,and are pivotal assets in the Curiosity Franchise and are knowledgeable on may subjects in the art world, much like Andrea herself. 

Emilie is the dab hand a selecting colours and patterns for framing to suit a customers needs, noticing colour pallets and styles to fit both the object being framed, as well as keeping to your houses decor. She is also responsible for creating graphic designs and managing the social media for the business.

Rebekah is a digital restoration and printing specialist, she has received  by the Canadian Conservation Institute in subjects on the Conservation & Restoration of Paper & Paper Materials, and the Conservation of Photographic Materials.

Between all three, they manage to innovate the Framing community while still offering conservation grade framing at reasonable cost.
