This is a pottery created by David Emerson Eglese.
The work is done with glazes dripped in a Craze style, giving it its name. It is shaped like a flat conical bowl with two leaves dripping out over one of the sides. The texture and warm tones of the leaves contrast against the flat textured colder glaze behind them.
David has made this work with Cone 6 clay base. Also called "middle temperature" by potters, cone 6 (~2200F/1200C) refers to the temperature at which most hobby and pottery stonewares and porcelains are fired.
This pottery was created in 2023.
The work is 5" tall by 15.5" wide by 17"deep.
