Brenda displays her still life in our gallery and she has photographed and worked with her medium in new and interesting ways.
A single large tree stands at the center, its wide limbs bent and thickly coated in fresh snow so that every twig is outlined in white. The dark trunk anchors the scene, a stark vertical against a cool, textured sky that looks brushed with falling flakes. Behind it, a row of smaller, similarly frosted trees recedes into the soft blue distance, giving a sense of depth and quiet repetition.
The ground is a smooth blanket of snow, untouched and luminous, and the whole image feels hushed — like the world has paused under the weight of winter. The speckled, almost painterly quality of the sky and falling snow adds a dreamy, timeless calm to the landscape.
