This is an original Artwork created by Kelvin Christensen.

This work is created with Acrylic paints on a Canvas Board.

The painting itself feels like a quiet winter morning: a few tall, slender trees with bare, slightly leaning trunks stand in the foreground and frame a view out to a pale blue lake and low, misty hills. Sunlight slants across the snow, turning the white ground into cool bands of blue and violet shadow that lead your eye toward the water. The brushwork is soft and loose — washes of powdery blues for the distant trees and water, with warmer, sandy tones at the edges of the paper and a hint of ochre in the foreground. Overall it’s calm and spare, the kind of scene that suggests cold air, stillness, and a gentle, slow light. A small, unobtrusive signature sits near the lower left corner of the painting.

This piece was created in 2010.

The size of the piece is 6" tall by 8" wide and is unframed.

This piece is part of our "Winters Gift" temporary exhibit, come see it in person through the months of December 2025 and January 2026.
