These are two unique ceramic mugs with an unconventional design. Both mugs have a rustic, handmade look, featuring a natural, textured surface with a mix of earthy blues, yellows, red and cream tones. Each mug is positioned on three sturdy, but uneven, short legs instead of a flat base, giving them an almost whimsical, figurine-like appearance.
What stands out are the inscriptions on both mugs. The left mug reads "JUST BEE GONE" stretched out over the whole mug, while the right says "JUST BEE GONE." all together on one side. The messages, combined with the distinctive form and the little imprinted bees, suggest a humorous or slightly cheeky tone—perhaps an artistic way to express a desire for personal space or a playful warning to leave the drinker alone.
The artistic choice to elevate the mugs on legs rather than flat bottoms could symbolize a break from convention or a playful take on ordinary objects, inviting the viewer or user to reconsider everyday items and their meanings. The inscriptions reinforce this quirky, somewhat rebellious spirit.
The pottery is made with stoneware, and is food safe and functional.
