The subject matter is an artists depiction of a little white dog, it's head is resting on some plaid fabric. The white fur contrasts against the red background and black of the dogs nose. The use of acrylic makes it so the edges of the brush work can be both seamlessly blended as well as strong and bold if the artist so desires.
