Brenda displays her still life in our gallery and she has photographed and worked with her medium in new and interesting ways.
A close-up profile of a face appears against a black ground, partially obscured by a large eyeglass lens filled with blue and green forms. You can see the reflection of a road stretching on and the wheel of a vehicle in the lenses of the Ray Ban glasses. The apparent medium is a digitally manipulated image using luminous color contours and smooth tonal blending.
According to the artist Brenda, the reflection in the glasses is of a stretch of road in the Columbia River Gorge.
