This is a wall hanging styled statuary pottery created by Elizabeth Schapansky.
It is a wall hanging decoration. The figure has drips of glaze on it, looking as if they are falling down the face. Though, one thing that stands out, is how Elizabeth managed to attach glasses to the face permanently. One wonders if they were attached before or after the process of going into the kiln. The face is surrounded by folds of clay that look astoundingly like real fabric in how it flows. Elizabeth has meticulously carved and shaped a human face in the clay.
The mask is made with Clay, Glazes, and Glasses and was sandblasted to give it the texture that it has.
The work was created in 2023.
The overall dimensions of the pottery are 13" tall by 10" wide by 5" deep.
