This is a pottery created by David Emerson Eglese.
The potter piece is done in a saggar style, which is a branch of raku pottery. The lid of the vessel is made of wood stained a dark brown, with the handle being made of a piece of dried coral.
Saggar pottery is created with the use of containers called saggars around the final pottery pieces and used in the production of ceramics to shield ware from the direct contact of flames and from damage by kiln debris.
This pottery was created in 2023.
