This is a textile original work created by Nancy Pike.

A handwoven wall hanging is suspended from a simple wooden rod by two thin cords, creating a rustic, handmade feel. The piece has a richly textured surface with horizontal bands of weaving in different colors and techniques, giving it both depth and visual rhythm. Near the top, a chunky dark blue section sits beneath a narrow pale band, followed by soft layers of sky blue and deeper blue-gray, almost like bands of sea and cloud.

The lower half becomes more decorative and intricate, with earthy brown, charcoal, and muted mauve tones threaded together in thick rows. Small woven accents in bright pink, yellow, and green appear like little flowers or scattered blooms across the surface, adding delicate bursts of color against the darker background. The texture varies from tightly woven sections to looser, more raised patterns, which makes the whole piece feel tactile and artisanal.

At the bottom, long fringe strands hang unevenly, some light and some dark, extending the handmade character of the tapestry. Overall, it feels like a cozy, folk-inspired textile artwork, blending natural materials, careful craftsmanship, and a gentle, colorful landscape-like arrangement.

This piece was created in 2026.

The dimensions of the art is 13.25" x 9.5".
