This is an Abstract styled pottery vase created by Roger Neufeld.
The piece features a striking ceramic vessel that stands out for its unique form and texture.
A small, hand‑made ceramic bowl. Its form is pleasantly asymmetrical — the rim is uneven, dipping in one place to create a subtle spout‑like curve, and the body twists gently as if it were coiled by hand. The bowl narrows to a modest foot, giving it a slightly stacked, spiral profile when viewed from the side.
The glaze is a soft, marbled mix of creamy off‑white and warm caramel‑brown tones. Streaks and bands of color run around the vessel in sweeping, organic lines; in places the brown pools a little in the recesses, emphasizing the spiral ridges and giving depth to the surface. The finish is glossy enough to catch the light, especially along the inner curve, while the lower exterior near the foot looks a touch more matte, hinting at the maker’s process. Fine tool marks and the layered construction are visible on the exterior, reinforcing the impression of a handcrafted object rather than a perfectly symmetrical, factory piece.
Overall it reads as a functional object with strong sculptural presence — something that feels warm and tactile.
